About the Optometrist Opening
San Ramon Family Optometry is seeking an Optometrist passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. In this role, you will provide full-scope optometry including in-depth eye exams; diagnosing and treating eye conditions; prescribing glasses; prescribing specialty contact lenses; and refer patients to other specialists for medically necessary cases.
The current office hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on alternating Saturdays. The position will be a part-time, fill-in position from August to December, with the potential for a permanent position, where you will work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and one Saturday a month.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
Optometry license in the state of California
Contact lens fittings
Glaucoma certification
Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents certification
Electronic health record charting
Preferred experience in private practice (not required)
