Financial Cost Analyst

Global leading manufacturer of highly technical components for the aerospace industry is building out their Finance team! Hiring Financial Cost Analyst for a highly visible position working closely with CFO, Controller, and Department Leadership to own monthly project cost forecasting and analysis! Great opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant with cost experience to pivot into into an Analytical role. Keys to an interview: Financial Cost Analyst 2-3 years' experience in inventory and manufacturing cost accounting. Experience with inventory cycle counts and year-end physical countsExperience with month-end close process, specific to inventory-related accounts Key responsibilities: Financial Cost Analyst Oversees weekly cycle counts and year-end physical inventory countsPrepares monthly inventory accounts recs and ensure proper project accounting for monthly financialsPrepares monthly project cost forecast and analysis for Ops and Engineering DeptsLead ad hoc manufacturing and production project financial forecast to support strategic initiativesSupport annual financial and government audits with relevant inventory and cost supportReview and verify the accuracy of Raw Material, WIP, and Finished Goods.Project analysis including EAC review, WIP Reserves, NRV Loss, Margin Analysis, Cost Analysis and Cost Exception review.Perform profit and cost variance analysis and identify the causes of discrepancies.Assist in month-end and year-end closing and auditing processes.Assist in the month-end close process including report generation, review and analysis, journal entries and reconciliations.
