**Description**
**Specific duties will include:**
* Operate industrial forklift equipped to move materials around warehouse, as well as an electronic Pallet Jack for case pick functions
* Load and unload shipping containers/truck trailers
* Maintain the machines, equipment, and electrical components.
* Maintain equipment (lifts) for the facility and associated operating equipment.
**Training/Skills:**
* High school diploma or general education degree, one year of experience in operating a forklift, and forklift certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Current valid state drivers license
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
**Abilities:**
* Coordination skills to move controls, levers, and devises to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas
* Organize and secure materials where bales, boxes, sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
* Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well
* Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devises.
* Complete forklift operator training annually, provided by company
* Consult and work with managers, supervisors, employees, and equipment to coordinate loading and unloading operations
* Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
**Physical Demands:**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required communicate verbally with other staff members. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
