**Forklift Operator - Glass Warehouse**
**Department:** Plant Employees **Location:** North Aurora, IL
**Scope**
An individual in this position will be responsible for our glass warehouse cleanliness, organization, and throughput. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, follow processes, troubleshoot, handle food products and packaging safely, and master the operations of several machines. A successful candidate will have forklift experience unloading and loading trailers.
**Job Functions**
* Adhere to our Good Manufacturing Practices
* Learn to operate our cardboard bailer, and other machines as needed
* Unload and load trailers and complete required documentation
* Material handling of milk and milk crates
* Compliance with documentation requires legible handwriting
* Comply with our Sanitation Procedures, Food Safety Programs, and Quality Evaluation Programs
* Always maintain a clean and safe working environment
**Education and Experience**
* Reading, writing, and speaking English is required
* High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required
* Five or more years of food manufacturing experience preferred
* Forklift experience is required
**Computer Skills**
* Experience with using a computer required
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products preferred
**Physical Demands**
* Standing, stooping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling
* Must be able to climb and work from a ladder and/or elevated lifts
* Must be able to lift and carry weights of 50-150 pounds
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
**Environmental Conditions**
* Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -40F to 130F
* Must be able to work in wet environments
* Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals
**Additional Information**
* This position is full-time with potential work shifts outside normal scheduling based on business needs.
* We will always try to minimize production on holidays, but this cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate a fair work schedule to allow for time off.
