A Gas Transmission Inspector is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Spring Valley, NY area. This role entails overseeing gas construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards, while possessing strong managerial skills, technical expertise, and knowledge of utility industry practices.

responsibilities:
Experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction
Emphasis on gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting
Oversee construction projects on Gas Transmission and/or Distribution pipelines, gate stations, regulator stations, and downgrades
Manage multiple projects simultaneously from design to final closeout
Possess managerial skills, computer literacy, and utility industry knowledge
Inspect work by construction contractors, ensuring adherence to company specifications and safety standards
Read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures
Maintain accurate field records including daily job reports and material usage
Knowledgeable in OSHA requirements
Ensure job sites are maintained safely
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
High school diploma and work experience
Minimum two years experience in excavation, road, or utility construction
Emphasis on electric installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting
Available for extended hours and weekends
Possess managerial skills, computer literacy, and utility industry knowledge
