We are currently seeking Senior to Regional General Property Adjusters to play a crucial role in establishing our Middle-Market Property and Causality Loss Adjusting Practice. Property Adjusters will drive all aspects of the claim life cycle and be responsible for a book of 50 to 75 of moderate $5000 to $100,000 severity property claims in a variety of Industries and Product classifications.

Industries Commercial Real Estate Manufacturing Retail Education Hospitality Agriculture Government/Public entity Not for Profits Energy Work will focus on conducting scene of loss investigations, photographing, scoping, estimating, developing documentation, and submitting electronic reports FileTrac and recommendations that effectively communicate the extent of liability associated with each claim.

The role will support our clients by fulfilling their obligation to policyholders and maintaining the client's claims processing functions, including evaluating potential coverage issues, liability, and evaluation of damages, risk transfer opportunities, litigation, and settlement matters within the limits of assigned authority levels and incompliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The claims assigned to the adjuster are based on their experience and demonstrated an aptitude for handling matters with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES Investigate and evaluate property insurance daily claims. Execute thorough claim investigations, scene inspections, recorded statements, secure documentation, and information. Understand and interpret the policy to investigate, provide coverage recommendations, and draft coverage letters. Produce a professional adjusting report, providing findings and recommendations for claim settlement. Settle Claims within Settlement Authority Monitoring quality and partnering with expert witnesses, attorneys, underwriting departments, investigators, construction contractors, repairs service vendors, and carrier examiners as needed to conduct investigations, confirm findings, and support evaluations. Identify claims whose complexity warrants escalation to a more senior level adjuster. Identifies and addresses third-party liability and tender opportunities through investigation and contract interpretation. Maintains accurate, thorough field notes, journal entries, and time and expense records as required. Functions as an influential team member, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; supporting the department's goals, division, and organization; participating in special assignments and activities as required or approved. Adheres to all applicable State Insurance Regulation requirements and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards; assumes personal responsibility for maintaining the requisite state licensure for the state(s)assigned. EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience. At least two years of field experience handing property claims within an independent adjuster or carrier. Direct background handing property claims of parallel scale and scope exposures up to $100,000. Success developing and managing relationships to identify and expand revenue opportunities. Active license in the state you are working/employed, ability to obtain such in multiple jurisdictions. NY license required. Fundamental understanding of claims adjudication processes & knowledge of property claims law and jurisdictional issues. Knowledge of building materials and construction principles. Demonstrated proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis, FileTrac, and Symbilty.
