The General Manager (GM) is the face of Tatte within our communities and to our guests. A GM is responsible for all facets of café operations dedicated to delivering a warm, authentic and inspiring environment for both guests and team members, to thoughtful leadership, and to overall restaurant performance. Our GMs will work side by side with the FOH team and in partnership with Chef and back-of-house team to drive total four walls quality, standards and performance. GMs are passionate about delivering on the smallest details to uphold and grow the Tatte brand. Successful GMs at Tatte are strong people developers, teachers and performance managers, have high personal standards, hold an owner operator mentality, and are warm and genuine.
Summary of Responsibilities: Demonstrates complete ownership of the business including total responsibility for the four walls and P&L ownershipModels authentic, warm guest experience and is responsible for instilling great service in teamEnsures the café is optimally staffed with individuals that embody Tatte's valuesDemonstrates keen people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop managers and hourly team membersDisplays skill in leading and navigating hard conversationsContinuously upholds Tatte brand and visual standardsLeads team members through effective and efficient operational executionEnsures Food Safety in the caféLeads all café-level change management activities to ensure effective and accurate communication of new product, service and operational information that is able to be acted upon by the teamEnsures food, labor and controllable costs stay consistently within guardrails set by the company.Other duties as assignedWorking Conditions / Essential Functions: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and as emergencies arise)Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs, and readAble to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 poundsPosition Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience working as a General Manager, preferably in a high-volume, full service and/or polished fast casual restaurantAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailHigh integrity and professionalismHigh School education or equivalentPreferred Skills: Hospitality Education: B.S. in Hospitality Management and/or A.S.
