General Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead Socalo with a blend of passion and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in both counter service and full service operations, coupled with the ability to manage the restaurant as though it were their own, while respecting established concepts and adhering to management protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations with a hands-on approach, ensuring that both lunch and dinner services run smoothly.
Promote Socalo to neighboring businesses and foster community connections to increase local patronage.
Lead and mentor staff, cultivating a positive work environment through direct coaching, documentation, and accountability.
Collaborate closely with the Assistant General Manager and Catering Manager to enhance the restaurant's operational efficiency.
Uphold the brand's standards and work within the framework set by upper management, making no unilateral changes to the concept.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in both counter service and full service restaurant management.
A track record of fostering a supportive and motivating work environment.
Ability to build strong relationships with local businesses and community members.
Experience navigating both corporate and independent restaurant settings.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and staff development.
Working Conditions:
Full-time role with five shifts per week, primarily covering lunch and dinner services.
Involvement in a comprehensive hiring process, including three interviews, with one conducted by Susan, our esteemed owner.
Direct reporting to Nile, the CEO, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Base Salary Target:
$80,000 - $90,000 Annually
