This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As Global Product Owner, this position reports to the Sr Director, Global Customer Experience and will be part of the Global Experience Innovation (GXI) team in GCX. The goal of GCX is a unified, consistent, and best-in-class customer experience. This position is responsible for the overall strategy & roadmap for the defined product/service by taking a holistic approach of product development from long-term strategy to tactical implementation of features/functionalities to drive excellent customer-centric experience.
What you'll work on Responsible as global product owner for one of the five products/services defined as key priorities by global leadership team.Define the product vision, overall strategy, and long-term goals whilst keeping abreast with market trends, competition, and business objectives.Be the subject-matter-expert of defined product with deep understanding of the product/service and its value to the Customer as well as organizational impact.Define the product roadmap and own the product/service innovation that includes understanding the Customer Experience Roadmap and signature moments.Translate roadmap and vision into actionable tasks with detailed features and functionalities requirement documentation, delivery timeline, and working closely with Global Business Solutions Managers and IT delivery partners to bring the product/service to life.Work seamlessly within Global Experience Innovation and other Global Product Owners, cross-functional partners to ensure consistency and alignment of purpose to attain the GCX goal of unified and best-in-class customer experience.Routinely communicate product progress, updates and changes to stakeholders, leadership and internal development teams.Work closely with Global Business Solutions Managers to adopt agile ways of working to rapidly innovate products/services. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field such as Product Design, Development etc7-10 years of experience in driving end-to-end tech-based product development, with a proven track record of bringing a product from conception to market successfullyDeep understanding and experience in a similar role within the Medical/Consumer technology or spaceExperience working within an Agile environment, and utilising Scrum project management processes.Proven leadership experience of a product team through multiple phasesStrong analytical skills, able to collect, assess and derive directives from data to make decisions.Action and solution-oriented; self-driven, pro-active and hands-onStrong analytical skillsTeam-player who enjoys taking on accountability and connecting with people in an international teamExcellent communication skills in English and proficiency in a second language preferred but not a must.Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones and non-traditional work hours.Travel up to 30% will be required.
