Group Therapist

Ohel is seeking an energetic, highly skilled mental health professional to work with adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses living in a residential setting.

Job Responsibilities include:


Run multiple groups daily on topics including socialization, symptom management, wellness, relapse prevention, building healthy relationships Provide crisis intervention and support crisis de-escalation Provide coaching, modeling, reinforcement, recognition of achievement and reinforcement of newly learned skills Motivate and inspire individuals to identify and work toward their rehabilitation and recovery goals Skills Required: Possess knowledge of resources, internal and external, and how to incorporate them into a recovery plan Possess strategies for facilitating recovery Competent in developing and running groups Ability to assist clients in identifying stressors and triggers and help them develop coping mechanisms and problem solving techniques Knowledge of tools promoting social, emotion, physical and spiritual wellness

This position requires a Master's degree in a mental health field with at least two years experience working with mental health direct services. This Full time position is located in Brooklyn. Hours required Monday to Thursday 11 am - 7 pm; Some Friday and/or Sunday hours required.

Salary; $75,000- $90,000
