You will play a critical role in developing the spatial technology that will impact the viability of our bold objective to make aviation safer and more accessible to all.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with all Guidance, Navigation, and Control functions and analysis activities including dynamic trajectory planning and Flight Envelope Protection designSupport GNC design specifications generation, validation and verification activitiesGenerate documentation for design, analysis, specification and test procedures and resultsDevelop analysis tools and algorithm using a Matlab/Simulink environmentSupport Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and flight test activitiesWork in a collaborative manner with other engineering disciplines such as Perception, Safety, Certification and Systems, Flight Test and lines of business as appropriatePerform other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering3+ years of professional working experienceProficiency in Matlab/SimulinkKnowledge in programming in C++ and PythonFamiliarity with Git and JIRADemonstrated competence with multivariable system modeling and control, analysis and simulation in aircraft applicationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree or PhD in an engineering discipline5+ years of professional working experienceDemonstrated competence with multivariable system modeling and control, analysis and simulation in aircraft applicationsDemonstrated experience with Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) architectures and deployment in aerospace applications is highly desired.Experience with Aircraft Control Law specifications, analysis, development, integration, HIL simulation, flight test, and data analysisExperience in optimization, path and motion planning for constrained dynamical systemsExperience in linear and non-linear flight dynamic models development by using System ID tools and methodsExperience in developing the other subsystem dynamic models, such as actuators, sensors, etc in accordance with the need of GNC activitiesExperience working as part of a team that has transitioned to production automation solutions for complex dynamic systemsFamiliarity with FAR Part 23/25/27/29, ARP 4761/4754A, DO-178 and other aerospace regulations/processes/standardsWHY SKYRYSE?The opportunity to change the world through improving aviation safety and accessibilitySalary Range: $100,000 - $250,000Valuable stock option planHeavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plansFull-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually.
