About the Role The Company is in need of a Head of Underwriting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of underwriting strategies that are in line with the company's goals and objectives. This pivotal role involves overseeing the underwriting function to ensure efficiency, compliance, and support for growth initiatives. The Head of Underwriting will also be tasked with managing underwriting risks, staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, and working closely with senior management to refine underwriting policies and procedures.

Applicants for the Head of Underwriting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree or professional certifications being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, including at least 6 years in a leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of life insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements, as well as a proven track record in leadership, strategic management, and decision-making. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
