About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Valuations for Credit, to join their team. This pivotal role is a player-coach position, with a focus on performing valuations of illiquid, complex assets and overseeing the entire valuation process across the firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a global team, acting as the subject matter expert for valuations with both internal clients and external counterparties, and engaging with or managing relationships with third-party valuation providers. Key responsibilities include owning the valuation methodology, adapting processes to unfamiliar structures, and training the team in model development. The Head of Valuations will also be expected to have excellent technical skills in valuation, with fundamental credit skills being a valuable asset, and to demonstrate strong communication and leadership abilities.
Applicants for the Head of Valuations role at the company should have a background in valuing complex, illiquid credit assets and be adept at adapting valuation methodologies to various asset structures. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to train and lead a team in model development, as well as excellent communication skills and a robust personality.
