About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Wind Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with growing and leading a Development team that focuses on utility-scale wind projects. This role is pivotal in the company's transition from a development firm to an independent power producer (IPP), and the Head of Wind Development will play a key part in this evolution. Responsibilities include hands-on development from project inception to commercial operation, working closely with the executive leadership on strategic marketing, acquiring real estate rights, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and managing project budgets and schedules.

Applicants for the Head of Wind Development position at the company should possess a minimum of 12 years' of development experience in utility-scale wind projects, with a strong preference for those who have worked on projects in specific regional markets. The role requires a deep understanding of the development process, from greenfield to commercial operation, and experience in managing and growing a team of developers. The Head of Wind Development will be expected to have a hands-on approach, be adept at acquiring real estate rights, and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves direct resource management, managing external stakeholders for environmental assessments, and overseeing permitting activities. The candidate should be capable of preparing project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses, and must be prepared to work in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
