The Host/Hostess warmly greets Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters Guest names into the system, show Guests to their table and warmly bids Guests farewell as they leave. The Host/Hostess is also tasked with assisting the team in bussing and sanitizing tables in order to quickly sit waiting guests.
The Host position is also responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing takeout orders, including accepting takeout orders over the phone. Hosts/Hostesses will need to be knowledgeable of the menu in order to accurately accept orders and communicate accepted orders back to the guests in order to minimize mistakes. The position is responsible for organizing all online and phone takeout orders and providing them to the guests upon arrival, accepting payment and warmly bidding farewell to takeout guests.
