Attention all Human Resources Managers. Staffing Remedy is working with a growing client to hire a new Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Major responsibilities
Represent your team at interdepartmental meetings with other managersMaintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current recordsSupervise all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the teamAssess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needsManage the organization's Microsoft human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practicesAssist employees such that they follow all policies and proceduresLead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employeesInvestigate compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefitsBe familiar with and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearingsCreate recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor lawsAdminister exit interviews and proceduresBuild management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Requirements
Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of MS OfficeAbility to view issues with an objective lensProfessional in handling confidential business matters and information with discretionPHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred5+ years in human resources1+ years of supervisory experience within human resourcesBroad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structureGreat written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in human resources or similar fieldHighly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing prioritiesExemplary ethics, integrity, and standardsAdept to problem-solving and conflict resolutionAn understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulationsLegally authorized to work in the United States
