Job Summary
Under direct supervision the Advanced Imaging Assistant supports and assists the Technologist as needed following the established policies and procedures within the Imaging environment. Responsible for performing a wide range of duties as assigned by the Imaging department. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Essential Functions
Assist with patient care, including changing patient, review patient safety questionnaire with patient.
Assist the modality Technologist in setting up scan rooms, placing patients on the table, attaching necessary coils and/or head holders on the table according for exam.
Assist with starting IV's on patient receiving contrast injections.
Assist in emergency situations such as contrast reactions, CPR's.
Verify patient lab values, documents patient exam information, create CD's for patients.
Participate in patient final verification.
Assist with supply ordering, putting away stock, and monitoring stock for expired products.
Assist in with linen supply, stocking blanket warmer, disposing of soiled linen and carts.
Cleaning scan rooms and holding rooms in between patients.
Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the scan room.
Qualifications

A. Education / Training:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent.
B. Work Experience:
· 2 years' patient care experience preferred.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
· IV certification and/or training preferred.
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
D. Other Qualifications:
· Basic computer and phone skills, able to demonstrate good customer care skills.
· Knowledge of medical terminology - preferred.
