Import/Export Expeditor

We are currently seeking an Estimator Specialist to join our Traffic Department. This position is based at our Bayamón facility. In coordination with Import/Export & Compliance Manager, facilitates processes with vendors and shipping companies to ensure that all orders arrive on time to meet customer demand with little to no delays. Receive details, prepares documents, and arrange for export/imports shipments.
Essential Task and Responsibilities:
Process & register purchase orders from various departments
Review, confirm and expedite these orders
Report any delay or incident to Manager
Contact and liaise with vendors and service providers
Communicate with internal and external clients
Coordinate shipment details and pickups arrangements with vendors
Track all northbound and southbound shipments
Report any pending delivery delays to the Manager
Report and process claims
Create and maintain complete files of all purchasing import/export transactions
Provide orders status feedback to the sales team
Other task or responsibilities
Requirements:
Superior attention to detail
Great organizational and planning skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple tasks and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English Language a most
Experience in logistics or similar related position
Customer service oriented
Education and Experience:
College Degree or,
Equivalent preparation or knowledge with 3 years of experience or,
5 years' experience in import/export procedures and purchase order processing
Salary:
$13.00 per/hour
