Individual & Group Therapist

Job Description: Sequoia Behavioral Health is looking for a compassionate therapist to join our team!
Duties & Responsibilities: Conducting initial consultations to gather patient information. Conducting individual and group therapy sessions. Assessing patients' emotional and mental health and collaborating with the clinical director to update treatment plans. Asking questions and listening to help patients explore their thoughts and feelings. Leading patients through mental exercises and role-playing activities when beneficial. Counseling and advising patients on issues of importance to them. Intervening with emergency care techniques and protocols when patients are in crisis. Maintaining detailed confidential records and documenting group and individual sessions in the electronic medical record.
Skills & Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for psychological treatment. Well-developed listening and interview skills to explore patient needs and administer treatment plans. Strong oral communication skills to counsel and advise patients. Analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in the development of effective treatment plans. Coaching skills to help clients make positive changes. Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files. Familiarity with privacy, health and safety laws. Prefer an individual who understands and practices a trauma-informed approach (EMDR, IFS, Etc.) but will train the right candidate. Accelerated Resolution Therapy or Somatic Experiencing preferred but not required.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field required. Masters Degree Preferred. Independent or Associate License Preferred (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LISAC, LAC)

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
