Description: Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Manager! The Information Technology (IT) Manager will supervise the company's information technology (IT) operations, help determine the IT needs of the company, and be responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead large IT projects, including the deployment of new IT systems and services Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in emergencies or data loss Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders to develop solutions for IT needs Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software Troubleshoot hardware and software issues Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures Responsible for overseeing and coordinating 24-hour technical support across four different locations Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience working in IT operations Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies Why the Information Technology (IT) Manager position is important to Alsum Farms & Produce:You would ensure the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure, safeguard our information systems, and drive innovation through strategic IT solutions, enabling us to exceed expectations and maintain our competitive edge.
JOB DETAILS: Job Type: Regular Full-Time
Job Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm; understanding that there will be on-call and special projects outside of these hours
Work Location: Onsite in Friesland, WI
Travel Requirements: 0-5% - Occasional travel to our farm locations (within 2 hours of Friesland)
Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent working knowledge of computer hardware, networking, software, programming, and technical knowledge Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Project management skills and strong ability to prioritize Strong communication skills and analytical ability Ability to learn and support new systems and applications SQL and database management experience a plus ERP System knowledge and experience, Business Central preferred Supervisory experience a plus Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team. Able to travel as needed Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software as both a user and at a supervisor level Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The ability to sit/stand in one place for extended periods Various repetitive movements.
