Network and Infrastructure Management:
•Manage the systems and infrastructure of the datacenter network, including server upkeep and updates
•Set up, monitor, and resolve issues with network devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls
•Work with other teams to plan and execute network enhancements and extensions
Network Security:
•Develop and apply security policies and procedures for the datacenter and OT networks
•Watch for any suspicious network activity and take appropriate security actions
•Keep up to date with industry standards and new security challenges
Performance Optimization:
•Continuously track and assess network performance to detect and resolve any problems
•Work with other IT experts to improve the datacenter network for optimal performance
Incident Response:
•Address IT/network-related incidents and outages quickly, finding and fixing the causes as soon as possible
•Apply proactive steps to reduce the likelihood of future incidents
Documentation:
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the datacenter network configuration, protocols, and procedures
•Create and update network diagrams and technical documentation
•Document all requests/incidents in corporate ticketing system
Local IT contact
•Help end-users and other IT teams, such as network and security engineers, with technical problems
•Communicate with IT upper management about local IT issues
•Take turns being the on-call contact for urgent events
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
•Proven experience in datacenter operations, with a string understanding of server hardware, networking, and storage technologies
•Proficiency in datacenter management tools and monitoring solutions
•Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
•Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a datacenter environment
•Network administration and Infrastructure management experience for 5 years, focusing on datacenter environments
•Skilled in setting up and managing network devices, such as Cisco switches and routers
•Skilled in setting up and managing VMware with VSAN
•Skilled in setting up and managing Network Environments including Cisco/Meraki switches and Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
•Familiar with network monitoring tools and incident response methods
•Relevant certifications like Cisco CCNA or CCNP are an advantage
