Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education and Training
Contribute creative ideas for change and improvement in content and delivery
Map out training plans, design and develop training programs (outsourced or in-house)
Use accepted and approved education principles and track new training methods and techniques
Design and prepare educational aids and materials
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
Development and Design
Create learning objectives meeting the identified training needs and plan the training evaluation to measure the success of the training
Design/develop courses, course outlines, job aids, and other training materials as part of the curriculum; coordinate and communicate with LMS Specialist in creating courses that may overlap with People Operations training
Develop materials for courses based on information provided by subject matter experts and instructors to create the best coursework possible
Design a variety of instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online programs, web-based learning aids or products, and other programs as needed
Development and maintenance of an approved Client Onboarding Knowledge Base (potential overlap with People Operations KB)
Develop and maintain documentation for various company systems, processes and procedures in the Knowledge Base
Assessment and Strategy
Conduct progress reports by tracking and communicating both attendance and performance concerns, and give appropriate knowledge assessments as required during new hire training period
Communicates with supporting departments & Management Staff to ensure consistency of processes/procedures
Attend meetings, seminars, training programs, professional organizations, etc. to keep informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the field of training
Identifies training needs and schedules appropriate training for continued representative advancement with the necessary members of management
Become and identify the SMEs in ABC platforms and processes
Conduct quarterly observation assessments with Client Onboarding teams to stay abreast on current processes, policies, and team updates
Work with Management to identify and report on training needs based upon departmental observations during quarterly assessments
Remain aware of all emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations about when to adopt certain systems to continue to offer the best learning experience possible

Qualifications
Knowledge of developing and delivering training materials as well as familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques
Knowledge of traditional and modern instructional design methods and techniques with successful design history
Proven track record of measurable course and curriculum design
Strong interpersonal, communication/language (Written and Oral) skills, organizational abilities, and presentation skills with the ability to successfully manage simultaneous projects at once
Strong logical reasoning ability to solve practical problems, deal with differing variables and operate independently using proper judgement
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Class management skills with an ability to command an audience
Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively
High energy, enthusiastic, and motivational
Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assesses needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Strong professional documentation capabilities
Ability to deliver instructor-led classroom training and online training
Proactive and positive attitude
Ability to travel out of state as business needs require
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Communication or Training and Development is desired. Master’s degree in Instructional design or equivalent work experience is highly preferred
With B.A., 2+ years’ experience in an Instructional Design position i.e. creating, designing and developing learning materials for blended curriculum development using Instructional Design methodology is required. If no B.A., 6+ years is required.
With B.A., 2+ years working as a trainer, preferably in a technical environment. If no B.A., 6+ years is required.
With B.A., 2+ years’ experience managing a learning management system. If no B.A., 6+ years is required.
Certification or advanced knowledge in Software Simulation platforms such as Lectora, Articulate, etc.
Working knowledge of Workday

Must be able to travel as position requires, including air travel and operating a motor vehicle
