Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing sales trends, and implementing strategies to improve our supply chain efficiency. This role is essential to our retail operations and requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can work effectively with various systems and stakeholders.
Duties:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and databases, including tracking stock levels, inventory aging, and cycle counts.
- Analyze sales data and production plans to determine optimal inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct financial analysis to optimize inventory costs and ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate inventory movement, storage, and shipping.
- Develop and implement inventory management processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize SQL to create reports and track inventory metrics, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Analyze and interpret data from various systems, including retail management systems and production planning software.
- Work closely with retail management and sales teams to ensure that inventory levels align with sales projections and customer demand.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze pricing and cost data to identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs and improve profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste.
- Provide recommendations to senior management on inventory management best practices and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with inventory management systems.
- Experience with retail management systems and production planning software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience with financial analysis and cost accounting.
- Ability to analyze pricing and cost data to optimize inventory costs.
- Knowledge of materials management and procurement processes.
