General Description
Work closely with in:house software development teams, Information Technology teams, and other business units, along with vendors/third:party organizations to ensure that Security testing and Threat modeling assessments are included in the workflow and performed as required per documented Standards. Work with the internal Threat Intel unit and other Cyber Security units to define, project plan, implement, and operationalize Red team activities with in:house staff, and improve the current Threat Intelligence Program. Maintain industry and cyber knowledge to optimize and align Popular's Security testing and Threat Intelligence processes and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
Threat Intelligence and Threat detection/hunting program for the Cyber Threat Intelligence unit, providing leadership with reporting on advanced persistent threats (APTs).
:
Integrate threat intelligence into security operations for real:time response.
:
Proactively search for signs of malicious activities within the organizations network and systems
:
Provide Cyber and Physical New and Emerging Threat Intelligence and Geopolitical Intelligence with output analysis.
:
Provide reports to leaders regarding the effectiveness of Threat Intelligence and makes recommendations for the adoption of new policies and procedures.
:
Streamline incident response procedures based on threat intelligence insights.
:
Lead the Penetration testing to identify and address vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.

Develop and implement the ability to run penetration testing activities with internal tools and internal staff.
:
Analyze to improve the current Threat Modeling process, implementing identified gaps.
:
Collaborate with cross:functional teams to integrate threat modeling into development processes.
:
Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
:
Support team activities during incident response including malware outbreaks, zero:day vulnerabilities and other major security events.
:
Communicates with multiple departments and levels of management to resolve technical and procedural Cyber Threat Intelligence risks.
:
Stay up:to:date and evaluate security trends, evolving threats, risks and vulnerabilities and apply tools to evaluate the risk in the context of the financial sector to mitigate risk.
:
Other duties as required throughout the year that align with the Corporate or Unit goals.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Bachelors Degree from an accredited University/College in Information Systems or related fields
Experience
Three (3) years of threat intelligence, cyber security, and cloud related experience in a complex technology environment.
Certifications / Licenses
Certifications and licenses such as
Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA PenTest+, CEH, OSCP,CTIA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, SSCP
are preferable.
