IT infrastructure managers help to organize projects related to computer network infrastructures. They are responsible for ensuring the project stays within the confines of the time restraints and allotted budget of the company.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company's policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations. Develop and implement an IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals. Plan for future growth and scalability of the IT infrastructure. Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure. Ensure network security and monitor for potential vulnerabilities. Manage and maintain servers, including installation, configuration, and updates. Ensure the availability and reliability of server systems. Oversee storage solutions, including data backup and recovery strategies. Optimize storage resources for efficiency and performance. Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, relationship-building Monitor vendor performance, risk management, cost management, issue resolution, continuous improvement. Implement and manage virtualization technologies for servers and desktops. Monitor and optimize virtual machine performance. Evaluate and select hardware and software solutions that meet organizational needs. Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts. Implement and enforce security policies to protect the organization's IT assets. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. Ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or disaster. Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team. Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems. Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on performance or security. Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure configurations and processes. Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for infrastructure management. Foster the professional development of the IT infrastructure team. Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience. Experience: This position requires at least 5 years of prior professional experience in IT Infrastructure. Certifications/Licenses: No certifications/licenses are required for this position. Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook are required for this position. Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and workflow. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
