Job Description
The IT Asset Management position is responsible for supporting the IT Asset Management Supervisor with configuring, shipping and receiving IT hardware assets within accordance with preexisting written standards. This team member works closely with the IT support staff and the Helpdesk Manager as a career pathway opportunity to the IT Support Associate position.
Responsibilities
- Input and update information about IT assets using various forms.
- Technological hardware configuration, shipping and receiving to support technical staff
- Performs assigned purchase order maintenance tasks - receiving
- Work closely with Service Desk, and Asset management Supervisor to maintain accurate inventory records
Skills and Knowledge
Proactive with a sense of urgency, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Proficient in Data Entry and attention to detail
Qualifications Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma. Certification in asset management is a plus, but not mandatory. Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements
Work is typically performed in an office, but projects may sometimes take the employee to a non-standard workplace; Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards; Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up to 50lbs, and to walk short distances; Must have the ability to sit and sometimes stand for several hours.
