Summary: This position is responsible for creating and maintaining quality system requirements that are used by application programmers to automate business functions based on the project plan.
What You'll Be Doing: Evaluates proposed system changes on less complex applications to determine efforts, impacts and timeline within their area of responsibility. Considers system capacity, limitations, and operating time while completing assignments. Interprets user requirements (written or oral) into technical program specifications for projects within their area of responsibility. Participates in analytical activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Generates software requirements, document and manage them throughout the software development lifecycle. Has some technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis including but not limited to designing, testing, debugging, documenting, configuring, installing, etc. Implement approved system configuration changes and monitor health of systems. Has system assurance responsibilities[1] and after hours on call support. Self-monitors assignments to report status with project teams and management. Interacts and communicates effectively with all business contacts. Use system and business knowledge to optimize delivery and quickly resolve issues. Translates business and system needs for developers. Drives quality improvements - measures, monitors and analyzes production quality trends. Ensures system solution provided meet business needs. What You'll Bring To The Company:
Associate's degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education and experience preferred. Must possess good problem solving, interpersonal and communications skills, and the self-motivation to improve skills and abilities. Should be willing to develop an understanding of the insurance business.
