Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Analyze blueprints and technical diagrams before performing work on electrical systems to ensure installations are correct. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Manage and train apprentice electricians, providing guidance and expertise in commercial electrical work. Ensure continuity of wiring to ascertain compatibility and safety of the electrical components using testing devices. Execute tasks related to project completion, including troubleshooting problems and answering technical queries. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code. Document and maintain records of all installations, inspections, and maintenance work carried out. The ideal candidate should possess: Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, specifically in commercial electrical projects. Valid Journeyman Electrician license, preferred. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and the National Electrical Code. Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial electrical systems and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform the job, which may include standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads, and working in confined spaces. Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
