Our client's Employment Group is expanding and seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law, encompassing both litigation and counseling.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Minimum of two years in employment law, particularly in advising employers, including early and mid-stage start-ups, on a wide range of employment law issues.Proficient in wage/hour matters, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments.Experienced in preparing or reviewing employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.Strong litigation skills with experience in both single plaintiff and complex cases.Solid command of employment law, especially California state and local employment laws.Business-minded problem-solving skills.Strong academic background and California bar membership.The Employment Group provides counseling and litigation services in areas such as:Employment discriminationSexual harassmentWrongful terminationWage-hour issuesTrade secrets/non-competition/unfair competitionWorkplace privacyExecutive employment agreementsThe team regularly advises employers and trains managers on personnel systems, policies, and practices.
