Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Lab Associate to support our Process Development team. You will focus on assisting with the execution of process development runs, preparing media and reagents, monitoring equipment set-up/cleaning and calibration, and providing versatile support between SMEs during high volume activities. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Run Execution Support: Support the setup, execution, and monitoring of process development runs, ensuring adherence to protocols and procedures.
Media and Reagent Preparation: Prepare and validate media, buffers, and reagents according to established guidelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Equipment Management: Monitor, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment to maintain optimal performance and compliance with operational standards.
Reagent and Supply Monitoring: Track and manage reagent inventory, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing disruptions to ongoing activities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all process development activities, including data entry.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Relevant experience in a laboratory setting is required, previous experience working with primary cells is highly desirable.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including media preparation, equipment cleaning/calibration, and general lab procedures.
Ability to adapt to varying tasks and support needs, demonstrating versatility and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory standards to ensure a compliant and safe working environment.
This is a contract-to-hire position with a duration of 1 year.
The anticipated hourly rate is $30 to $35 per hour. The final hourly rate offered to you will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
