This position is responsible for the processing of unit and sample processing, storage, shipment, and freezer management as required by Olgam Plasma Center location for biological product (human blood plasma). The Plasma Processor will ensure product and sample processing, and follow all federal, local, and organizational standards related to this determination. You will report directly into the Center Manager.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Manages the storage and organization of Biological product (human blood plasma) units and samples.
* Manages the preparation of sample shipment and product preparation for shipment.
* Reviews door records for completeness.
* Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures for compliance by accessing the inside of the freezers with temperatures up to -40 degrees.
* Maintain certification and annual re-certification requirements of the Olgam Life Training program.
* Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
* Provides scheduling flexibility to ensure appropriate center support and coverage
* Ability to execute multi-step technical driven tasks
* Familiarization with electronic systems/platforms used to organize, track, and execute tasks
* Perform all duties and responsibilities of plasma processor.
* Monitor freezer performance, maintenance and documentation and reporting freezer excursions and temperature variance.
* Attend freezer alarms and move the cases of biological product (plasma) whenever required.
* Ensure concurrent, legible and accurate documentation.
* Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner and report all equipment in need of repair.
* Report all unsafe situations to supervisor immediately.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Educational Requirements: *
· High school diploma or equivalent, college education preferred.
· Able to speak, read and legibly write English.
· Able to use computer.
*Physical Requirements:*
· Manual dexterity
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Able to pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Able to spend periods of time in plasma freezers colder than -30°C.
· Ability to travel via automobile or public transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
