We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Lab Technician to join our Complaint Investigations Lab. In this role, you will play a crucial part in resolving customer complaints by investigating returned blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities: Product Handling: Safely unpack and sort returned products by product lines to prepare for investigation. Complaint Investigation: Conduct detailed investigations of returned products to address customer complaints related to blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors. Documentation: Accurately document all complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System, ensuring that all records are maintained and updated as required. Technical Troubleshooting: Use various technical software and equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes, to troubleshoot and resolve product issues. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on quality records and ensure that all testing equipment is within its validity period and properly calibrated. Compliance: Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and compliant investigation processes. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with relevant technical experience required. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field is preferred. Recent college graduates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline are encouraged to apply. Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills, including basic MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to navigate internet-based programs. Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting techniques and equipment (e.g., multi-meters, oscilloscopes) is highly preferred. Familiarity with lab testing equipment and the ability to perform routine maintenance on these tools. Experience: Experience in the Medical Device or Biotechnology industry is preferred, especially in roles involving inspection and quality control. Experience working in a lab environment and handling product investigations is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills are essential. Ability to focus and maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend English. Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow detailed instructions. Pay Rate: $25/hr to $28/hr
