Join ABL in paving the way for the next-generation space platform.LEAD AVIONICS INTEGRATION ENGINEER As a Lead Avionics Integration Engineer, you will drive the manufacturing, integration, and testing of avionics components on ABL's RS1 launch vehicle and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace integration with proven leadership skills and a commitment to process improvement. The Lead Avionics Integration Engineer will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and performance of avionics systems throughout the development lifecycle. RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead a team of engineers to build and integrate the avionics hardware onto ABL's RS1 vehicle and ground support equipmentProvide mentorship and guidance to team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture of excellenceCreate and manage schedules to meet company priorities while coordinating with other domains to complete integration and test campaignsDevelop and review work instructions for hardware build and vehicle integration, ensuring compliance with standards for quality and safetyWork directly with hardware and technicians to build harnessing, avionics boxes, and various mechanical componentsContinuously champion and incorporate process improvements to reduce build hours and increase quality of buildsUnderstand the requirements and develop tests to verify vehicle functionality, mitigating potential issues early in the build processTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with flight hardware, fix issues in real-time, and push corrective actions to future buildsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or related field5+ years of experience with hands-on manufacturing processes>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:1+ year leading teams in production environments8+ years of professional experience in vehicle integration within the Aerospace & Defense industryProven ability to manage large, complex projects with aggressive timelinesStrong knowledge of analog and digital command and control architecturesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentBreadth of knowledge in harness development, sensor selection, and mechanical systemsDedicated leader and team player who's excited about ABL's mission! $115,000 - $165,000 a yearThis is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
