Position Details Reporting to the Manager, Special Services the Lead Executive Driver manages the executive transportation program to maximize the effectiveness, safety and security of all executive ground transportation. This includes the coordination of all responsibilities associated with Special Services including planning, scheduling, fleet management, logistics and transportation requests. You Will Transport company executives to and from their destination in a safe/secure and orderly manner and provide on-site security. Represent Grainger in an appropriate manner. Perform tasks with utmost confidentially with information heard or observed during the performance of their responsibilities. Provide executive protection services and security coverage for Leadership Team, Board Meetings and external special corporate events. Manage expenditures within agreed budget while at the same time identifying opportunities to reduce cost and gain efficiencies. Manage a fleet program, addressing procurement, preventive maintenance, and replacement of vehicles, designed to maximize resources while ensuring reliable performance. Perform all administrative activities associated with the role. The ability to pass protective driving training courses, use GPS and have knowledge of Chicago and the metropolitan area. Keep assigned vehicle(s) clean and in excellent condition. You Have Minimum 5 years executive protection or professional driving experience. Prior Civil Service, Military, or Law Enforcement experience Ability to pass pre-hire drug testing and submit to random testing throughout employment. Have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills Be able to perform all tasks encountered in emergency situations. Basic technology skills and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
