Job Summary: The Access & Cost team is responsible for building out key infrastructure and applications with broad impact across the organization. On the "access" side of things, we're responsible for an application which serves as a gateway for access to many systems throughout the organization. We handle access requests, complex approval workflows, maintaining approval inventory and access provenance, and integrating with many systems to automate access provisioning.
On the "cost" side of things, we gather information from various cloud systems on usage and corresponding cost, and carry out complex logic to attribute that cost to the appropriate teams and organization pillars. We handle cost monitoring and alerting, provide accurate and comprehensive cost data to teams and executives, and work closely with financial operations and cost optimization teams.
You will serve as a technical lead, overseeing a team of up to 10 engineers in building out critical frameworks for our cost monitoring and optimization initiatives. You'll work closely with stakeholders, teams with upstream and downstream dependencies, and product owners to refine functionality and determine implementation architecture. Responsibilities: Design and deliver highly performant, scalable, resilient systems, while contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and architecture.Work closely with product and engineering leadership to specify, design, and implement solutions for our customers and business partners.Write, test, and release elegant software systems using a mix of technologies including: Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, Python, AWS, and Java.Mentor and lead your team, by defining and organizing work and helping the team address challenges.Serve as a "go-to" resource and SME for more junior engineers on the team.Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in technology.At least 1+ years of experience in a team/project lead role.Strong technical, coding, and architecture/design skills.Solid interpersonal and communication skills.Strong leadership skills.Ability to dive deep on technical issues, without being intimidated by complex problems or difficult challenges.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Big Data technologies, such as Spark or Flink (not required if you can rock out learning new things).Experience with AWS, Python, Java, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience.The hiring range for this position in various locations is as follows:
Orlando, Florida: $142,200 to $190,600 per yearBristol, Connecticut: $149,300 to $200,200 per yearSanta Monica, California: $149,300 to $200,200 per yearSeattle, Washington: $156,300 - $209,600 per yearNew York, NY: $156,300 - $209,600 per yearSan Francisco, California: $163,400 to $219,200 per yearThe base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
