As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Windows Image as a service, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job responsibilities Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications Gain strong experience on Incident response, change management and problem management areas to handle Operations (SRE) team engagements. Implement and design data driven solutions based on operations metrics and other key data points. Demonstrate strong client / customer / stakeholder-based approach on issues and problem which your team handles. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.), and experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds Strong knowledge and experience on windows server operating system starting windows 2016 to 2022 as well as good understanding and Demonstration on Microsoft Windows performance tools and debugging. Deep Knowledge on windows Clustering, Web, load balancing and sysinternal tools and windows Patching and risk management, and Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability best practices Fluency in at least one programming language Python or PowerShell Demonstrated ability to drive the adoption of site reliability culture and practices within a team. Expert in Agile process and tracking the content and efforts to drive data driven solutions. Basic knowledge on Active directory & Troubleshooting Good knowledge & experience with PKI, Certificate Authority, Encryption algorithms, Ciphers Good Understanding & Troubleshooting skills SSL/TLS negotiations and Cipher Suites. Fair knowledge of Key Management technique Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong windows operating system knowledge, experience & troubleshooting skills.
