Licensed Practical Nurse

Under the supervision and consultation of the School Nurse the LPN will:
Provide 1:1 monitoring of student for signs of seizure and gross motor instability
on transportation van and in school building
* Administer medication in accordance with school policy
* Perform specific medical procedures as prescribed and outlined in the student's
health care plan
* Confer with supervisor, site administrator, and the school nurse regarding
student needs, policies, and procedures
* Maintain records
* Upholds professional standards, the Massachusetts Nursing Practice Act and
other state and local statues and regulations applicable to school nursing
practice; and adheres to district policies
* Keeps current with any changes to applicable nursing practices and standards
* Perform other related duties as assigned by the School Principal or School Nurse
