Licensed Vocational Nurse (Psych)

Medix is looking to hire a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join a well-established rehabilitation and mental health treatment center in Los Angeles, 91732.

Responsibilities: Provide medication oversight and training to new employees. Assist the intake process periodically with referrals to facilitate decision making and timely admission. Work directly and indirectly with clients with severe mental illness. Lead weekly group sessions, including on medication management. Act as a liaison to the pharmacy and assist in coordinating medical attention, lab work, and medications. Take the lead role in collaboration with the directors and doctors to problem-solve medication matters. Conduct training sessions for non-medical staff. Assist the directors in coordinating psychiatric appointments, including telehealth sessions, and ensure adherence to medication procedures. Ensure the doctors have all the necessary data, and provide timely and accurate follow-ups and follow-throughs with orders from the day. Administer injections. Actively participate in team meetings to help develop comprehensive care plans, including discharge planning. Foster effective teamwork and enhance client wellness in a community setting. Act as a role model for the team members. Requirements / Experience: LVN in the state of CA 1-3 years of experience Prior experience with psychiatric patients (highly preferred) Preferred Qualifications: Passion for working in the mental health space Long-term career commitment Schedule: Monday- Friday 9:00- 5:30 pm (occasional Saturday) On-site Pay range:
