Job Overview
The Quality Specialist is a California licensed nurse responsible for collecting, analyzing, and mining quality data metrics, as per the Quality Department's program description. Additionally, they will help devise provider report cards and/or program adjustments that support Star measures, HEDIS, pay-for-performance initiatives, and other quality oversight functions. Major responsibilities include processed data analytics and reports on performance improvement and quality of care interventions and efforts. Assists in the identification of quality of care issues pertaining to all managed care activities (e.g., UM, CM, Claims, Member Services, Appeals and Grievances, Credentialing, Provider Network); tracks and trends specified patients/populations conditions that support the clinical and care management of these patients; supports quality improvement projects and initiatives, measures effectiveness of programmatic interventions as needed; reviewing literature evidenced-based practices, performing workflow analyses and communicating with internal and external customers-Formulates recommendations on program efficiencies and effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree is required.
2. California license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse required.
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in process improvement and/or other quality management/improvement related experience required.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience with HEDIS, Star Measures, and Peer Review Process required.
Compensation
$70,270.72 - $87,838.40 annually
