Job Title: Line Cook

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various ingredients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of Hot Dishes:
* Execute the preparation of appetizers, entrees, and other hot dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards for back of house.
* Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards.
Station Setup and Organization:
* Set up and organize the hot station with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency.
Kitchen Organization:
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Properly label and store all prepared ingredients.
* Dispose of kitchen waste and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
Collaboration:
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination.
* Assist other kitchen staff as needed during peak hours.
Quality Control:
* Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in food preparation.
* Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency.
Adherence to Safety Standards:
* Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a kitchen environment.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Team player with excellent communication skills.
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Education and Certification:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Culinary school training or relevant certification is a plus.
* 2+ years experience
