Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal representation in labor and employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination.
Manage all phases of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.
Conduct thorough and timely legal research to support case preparation and court proceedings.
Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor and employment law, court rulings, and industry trends.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and opposing counsel.
Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on labor and employment law.
Proven track record in managing all phases of litigation, from investigation to appeal.
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and opposing counsel.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Ability to handle a large caseload and work under pressure.
Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
