Logistics Coordinator

General Objective

Company in the shipping sector is looking for a Logistics Coordinator with experience in shipping companies, consolidators or similar industry.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage stocks of containers.
• Correct tracking moves follow up.
• Prepare weekly report for full Idles (import & export).
• Coordinate and reply to customers any equipment request or issues they may have.
• Sent Container sale list to buyers and coordinate containers delivery with terminals.
• Request billing of container sale.
• Keep record of container’s sale activity and BOX reception.
• Follow up container redelivery.
• Create and validate transport orders for carrier haulage moves according to rates agreement.
• Send pre-advises to port terminals if needed.
• Stock replenishment oriented to fulfil customers’ needs according to demand in each location.
• Coordinate carriage haulage with customers and trucking suppliers.
• Work hand in hand with the customer service and operations team, to update the system, as well as to streamline customer service and operations processes in general.
• Other functions related to the position.

Education & Professional Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Logistics or similar.
• Minimum two years experience as Logistics Coordinator in shipping companies, consolidators, freight forwarder, or similar industry.
• Good organization and planning skills.
• Communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
• Self-motivated, outgoing, and with a high degree of autonomy.
• Command of MS Office.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Live in Puerto Rico.
