As the Logistics Manager you will be responsible for logistics pertaining to the company's overall supply chain. The Logistics Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods on the global stage. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. They will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities: Manage, coach, mentor entire logistics team through global production shipment process.Review and identify proper procedural and departmental efficiencies. Building relationships with Carriers and negotiating with them for best price, and delivery timescales. Maintain the info record, carrier list, freight conditions, freight costs, and master freight data on a regular basis. Responsible for providing shipment status database for overall order shipments to include order process from creation date through shipment tracking status i.e. Open order status report (Live) Effectively manage supply concerns, price differences, and reliability issues. Resolve issues with receiving and processing payment to vendors, as necessary. Identify the root cause/corrective actions for transit and quality concerns. Proactively follow up on outstanding issues with orders and samples to ensure full closure.Coordinate deliveries from vendors and 3rd party Logistics company to ensure shipments arrive on time. Ensure all dealings with carriers are conducted in compliance to purchasing Code of Ethics. Ensure compliance with responsible sustainable policies. Create meaningful linkages with operations, executive, finance, planning, and warehouse.Manage and support inbound/outbound traffic during the development phase of offsite ventures, both domestic and internationally. Assists with grievances with vendors, contractors, and carriers. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain or any other relevant discipline from a reputable institute is required. 8 years relevant experience in Logistics, procurement, production control and production planning in a manufacturing environment ideally gained in the chemical or Flavor & Fragrance industry. Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMP's). Ability to work well under pressure. Deadline oriented. IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications Excellent ability to work with others. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.Outstanding Communication and Presentation skills both written and verbally.Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
