TOTE Maritime Agency Puerto Rico, a leader in safe and reliable service to Puerto Rico, is seeking an M&R Assistant to join the team in San Juan, PR.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for managing daily functions and coordinates repairs on / off terminal on all equipment and company owned vehicles. This includes repair criteria, repair procedures, repair production time, data reporting of KPI, cost containment, and inventory of all parts and assets on the terminal and at repair depots. The incumbent is directly responsible for supervising / managing the Starguard wireless asset management system and repairs and maintenance to the terminal facilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Facilitate M&R equipment / terminal repair and parts functions on and off terminal.
Quality control verification of M&R repairs and vendors.
Coordinate parts availability changes/needs with all work areas.
Execute directives received from Equipment Manager.
Maintain and retain ALL parts and tire inventory levels.
Build and maintain files with vendor service and part price data.
Ensure all parts and repairs meet industry standards or exceed.
Coordinate parts and labor for onsite equipment repairs, with vendors.
Maintain inventory of tires and parts for repairs.
File and maintain all warranties (Parts and Equipment) paper and electronic. Ensure off-site parts procedures are followed (delivery times, location, etc).
Create a PO request for applicable orders and purchases.
Inspect all parts deliveries at respective area to ensure quantity and cost are correct.
Organize, label and keep parts area neat, clean and organized.
Assist all department personnel in any duties needed (to include office assistance, maintenance supervisors, and remote location mangers).
Coordinate and arrange off terminal repairs for damaged equipment.
Manage and maintain the Starguard reefer monitoring system.
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to read and comprehend business correspondence, technical procedures, government regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and trucking companies.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagrams or schedule form.
Degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education / experience required.
Computer proficient, inventory and purchasing experience required.
