Job Purpose Statement: Reporting to the Automation and Controls Engineer, the welder / fabricator will be responsible for designing, fabricating, assembling / installing and repairing sheet metal, plastic and stainless steel parts.This position will utilize knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, machining, and layout techniques. Primary Responsibilities:Reading and interpreting blue prints and product specificationsPerforming Flat Pattern LayoutsUsing Hand Tools and measuring devices to perform basic tasks Using power tools, lathes, mills and welding equipment to perform complex tasksWorking within teams or independently as directed Problem Solving process issues including redesign of equipmentRepairing process equipment including pumps, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, blowers, and conveyors.Supporting established Preventative Maintenance activities and identify new PM activities, as needed.Supporting continuous process improvement implementation and origination.Behavioral Attributes: Adaptable - Adjust approach to match varied task requirements; Adjust behavior to others' styles; Changepriorities to meet changing demands; Adjust quickly to new responsibilities and tasks. The work is fast paced.The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $33.98 and $35.06.
