Job Description Title: Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd shift rotating weekends
Location: Forest Park, GA
Pay Rate: $75K-$80K
Position Overview:The Maintenance Supervisor will provide support to hourly team members in areas including safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. This role is responsible for leading and directing a team of hourly team members, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance process, seeking ways to improve efficiencies and meet all production and maintenance metrics and deadlines.Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods, and procedures, and make recommendations to management. Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions. Administer discipline, corrective action, and coaching as needed. Assist in resolving employee disputes or grievances.Enforce company policies and plant rules, including problem-solving and the development and implementation of standard operating procedures. Maintain a working relationship with the union by adhering to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.Schedule and assign maintenance labor; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules to minimize overtime; resolve problems; report daily shift production results.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and workplace safety.Recognize, report, and troubleshoot food safety and quality issues. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments as needed.Utilize the management operating structure to lead the maintenance team.Develop and analyze data to create action plans aimed at reducing top downtime drivers.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment and food manufacturing.Effective collaboration in a teamwork environment that promotes successful team project performance.Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization through effective communication.Self-motivated to seek beneficial work for the department during available time.Ability to establish projects and priorities.Excellent analytical reasoning skills.Ability to foster a collaborative and positive workplace.Recognize and support skills development among employees in the department.Commitment to professional standards and ethical behavior.Adaptability to changes in deadlines and assignments.Proficiency in MS Office products.SAP knowledge preferred.Proficient use of computer programs and software.Ability to handle multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously.Flexible work schedule.Excellent leadership qualities, verbal and written communication skills, and technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
