The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing all of the activities for maintenance, Safety, Cost, Delivery and Morale. It will require leadership skills to drive team performance and maintenance skills to drive operational improvements.

Interfaces with executives, managers, group leaders, and engineers and the appropriate external resources regarding facility needs for office equipment and operational equipment; coordinates all necessary work to accomplish objectives and ensures timely response.
Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed; corrects any discrepancies in a timely manner; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures and regulations.
The planning role of the position helps Operations balance their need for daily output with their need of equipment reliability through pro-active planning of maintenance.
Lead long-range as well as short-range planning. Long-range planning involves regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources and Operations down time opportunities.
Help to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance activities. This is to be accomplished via analysis of equipment history and other information directly from operations personnel and equipment manufacturers.
Periodically reviews PM for effectiveness and makes changes as appropriate. ·
Execute and apply the short-range planning and scheduling process for maintenance work requests.

Manage administrative responsibilities which include: maintains essential records and files in order to prepare accurate and meaningful management reports, Interpretation of historical equipment cost information, participation in budgetary preparation, tracking, and analysis, developing weekly backlog of maintenance requests for operations review, periodic analysis of cost trends and recommendations for continual improvement, and performs other maintenance-related tasks and special assignments.
Serve as designated backup for Maintenance Supervisor, in addition to taking off hours and weekend maintenance call responsibilities.
Review plans/Schedule of workload in the rough-cut capacity stage and responds in advance to period where workload is significantly greater than capacity available
Request purchase orders to ensure level of inventory accurate supporting maintenance orders processing.
Responsible for activities to level workload with capacity once the backlog is schedule, including capacity or workload adjustment activities such as move orders in, recommended use of cross trained employees, recommend overtime.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between work units, planning and re-planning.
Provide visual scheduling to all employees and supervision
Gives prompt feedback on appropriate lead times for jobs.
Responsible for communication and feedback process with supervision on schedule
Act as a resource of creative problem solving to the Operations team and customer service team in order to facilitate schedule of preventive maintenance.
Expedite critical orders as required, field visit to different OT to validate/ensure on time schedules and/or detects deviation, and provide timely solutions.
Holds team accountable to high standards across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale
Ensure the team is organized and focused on the right business priorities at all times and provide continuity between shifts.
Identify system and equipment malfunction and safety hazards. Prepare Acts/Conditions unsafe reports according with SAPS and company policies to ensure that work within the facilities is performed in maximum security and safety conditions.
Participate in all training courses scheduled by HSSE, Operations, HR as well as in all contingency drills

Requirements:
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a related Engineering field
A High degree of business ethics and confidentiality is required.
2 years minimum experience in handling of fuel (preferably).
