Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot complex processes, high-speed packaging machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
Operate and repair material handling equipment including manual pallet jacks, battery-operated pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and hoists.
Read and interpret blueprints, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, and machinery manuals for problem diagnosis, component identification, and equipment operation verification.
Plan, layout, measure, and execute tasks to support maintenance activities.
Safely and properly use power and hand tools to support work activities.
Perform and electronically report scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders in the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within specified timelines, following standards to maintain equipment reliability.
Assist with the installation of new equipment as needed.
Clean tools, parts, and equipment after line rebuilds, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Provide technical expertise to train and support production teams while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Actively participate in and/or lead root cause analysis (BDA) and site continuous improvement initiatives (TPM-driven).
Develop and enhance maintenance plans.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Modify and upgrade manufacturing equipment as needed.
Perform strategic preventive maintenance tasks.
Continuously improve maintenance systems and practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
2-year Technical Degree in a Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, or a related area of study, OR a Journeyman Certification (preferred).
Experience:
3 years of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, OR
2-year Technical Degree in a Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related area of study, with 1 year of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
Experience should include diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying equipment to meet proper operating specifications.
