About the role Under general supervision, you will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to set-up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes.
Your responsibilities Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on machines, equipment and plant facilities during production.Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.Troubleshooting of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (up to 480 volt), PLC (Allen Bradley), and robotic systems (Fanuc).Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required repairs, maintenance and service.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on machines and equipment.Completes hot work permits.Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures. Who we are looking for Three (3) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive JIT.Trade school certified as an industrial Electrician/Millwright or an equivalent combination of education and experience; journey worker certification preferred.Experience operating a powdered industrial forklift and performing aerial work.Fabrication experience, including blueprint reading/interpretation, machining (lathe, Bridgeport, and bandsaw), and welding. Ability to interpret & apply measurements in both the Imperial and Metric systems; ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tape.Ability to read/understand ladder logic PLC systems.Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.Basic computer skills, including e-mail management and task management software.
