Position Highlights: Position: Registered Nurse, Mammography Location: Highland Park Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours/week Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm What you will do: Under the directions of the Staff Radiologist and/or Mammography Lead and Mammography Supervisor, the nurse provides quality care utilizing the nursing process while in the Department of Radiology. Will be involved in all aspects of patient care in Mammography and will provide nursing care during special procedures. Will be responsible for scheduling biopsies and procedures coordinating with ancillary services as needed. Responsible for maintaining compliance with any regulatory body standards Performs a variety of nursing and clerical duties to streamline Department of Mammography cases, requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative. Assumes responsibility for specific special procedures examinations and/or may be assigned duties, as requested. What you will need: Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required Certification: Certification for ACLS. BLS/CPR certificationrequired (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider). Experience: Minimum one year critical care experience preferred. Evidence of professional competence based on references related to experience. Unique or Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ACLS drug protocol. Must be able to build and maintain good communications and working relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff and members of the community. Strong computer skills.
